Pick Up Lines, a Brief Narrative

The pickup line: the most classic and clichéd way to break the ice, is in many ways a cherished tradition. Generations of men and women have used (or heard) every line in the book. The question, of course, is do they work? Have they ever worked? It’s possible that they are so corny that they have come full circle to being cool again, or maybe they’re just corny.

It really depends; some people love them, some people hate them, and the only way to tell is trial and error.

R U typing a good dating profile?

InterNET_LOVe_by_tipsyfairyPerhaps you are an avid text massenger. Perhaps you are a frequent internet user. Perhaps you are trying to meet someone online. “I hate it when you smoke in the house,”

“I hate it when you leave the milk out of the fridge,”

“I hate it when you forget to feed The Gimp.”

But instead, take a different approach. Begin to take notice and focus on the little things that make you, and your significant other smile. Read more

What complicates the matter even more is what the new circle of friends can mean during a fight. Depending on how well assimilated you are, these new acquaintances can help or hinder the situation.

The question of whether or not to get the friends involved is a complex one. On one hand, it’s perfectly natural to want to go and vent to some sympathetic ears, or to ask for advice. The best asset a person can have is someone who can call them out on personal stupidity when they need it. The downside of consulting the friend circle is that it can often times result to some pretty dreadful situations…
