The Leftos Team and Some Quick Updates
Thus far, we haven’t spoke much about the Leftos team– the people working behind the scenes to get this whole thing going. We run a different kind of operation over here…titles aren’t important, we don’t have set hours, and we’re always having fun while we work–a stiff infrastructure and that typical corporate culture just isn’t the type of company we want to create. Right now it’s simple; our focus is on launching a great, useful website, and we each do our part to make that happen. We work at night and we work on the weekends. It’s a full-time gig so if there’s work to be done, we do it. We’re also a completely virtual company (We have team members in West Bloomfield, MI, East Lansing, MI, and San Francisco, CA. Our Programmer is in Brazil, and our CSS guy is in Ann Arbor, MI). That said, we’ve also just brought on two interns to help us with completing our index and marketing our alpha launch, so we want to welcome them to the Leftos Team as well.
So what else is happening? Here’s a quick rundown.
- Our index is almost finished. By the beginning of next week, we should have a completed version ready to go for the Alpha Launch. We’re excited to show it to all of you and we really feel that were tapping into some issues that you’ll be very interested in.
- Our involvement in TechNow09 is starting to generate some great interest and feedback about Leftos and the event itself. We’re very excited for it and hope to see you all there on April 23rd to show your support. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, you can do so here.
- While the site design was completed in-house, we have a guy out in Ann Arbor working on the CSS (which makes the design into code, so people can interact with it on the web). We finalized our first round of designs with him today, so our site design is moving along and should be finished up soon. Can’t wait for you guys to see that too.
That’s all for now, hopefully that got you up to speed on the progress we’re making. Check back soon.
